Ryan Geotechnical Solutions is an affiliate of The Bonitz Company of Carolina which was originally founded founded in 1954 by John
Bonitz Sr. in Greensboro, NC. In 1992 The Bonitz Company was purchased by Eddie Dixon, a long time Bonitz employee. Throughout its
history, The Bonitz Company has focused its business in the education, healthcare, government and industrial segments with Low-
density Lightweight Insulating Concrete (LWIC), Low-Density Cellular Concrete (LDCC) and Poured Gypsum.
Michael Ryan, a contractor since 1980, purchased The Bonitz Company in 2006. He has continued the tradition of providing specialty
engineered fills and solutions for institutional, public and commercial construction and infrastructure in the Mid-Atlantic region. Long
considered an industry leader, The Bonitz Company utilizes proprietary materials and designs by Aerix Industries, Elastizell Corporation,
Celcore Inc., and Siplast.
Ryan Geotechnical Solutions was a natural extension of The Bonitz Company, established in response to the unique needs of the
geotechnical engineering community. It is a geotechnical specialty contractor focused exclusively in the low-density cellular concrete
(LDCC), controlled low-strength material (CLSM), flowable fill product category as a solution and alternative for situations in which
either standard fill materials are not suitable, too heavy, or other solutions are too costly and time consuming. Pipe abandonment,
annular space grouting, bridge approaches, MSE wall backfill and load balancing fills along with roadway base fills are the most
common applications.
